Never had a bad Alec Bradley cigar. Even the ones I've gotten cheap have been excellent.  I think I got this one from a sampler, probably for cheap.  I think these are about $4 or $5 a stick.  


It's a short smoke. Nicaraguan habana wrapper with binder and long filler of Nicaraguan, Honduran, and Dominican tobacco. 




Starts off with a definite Nicaraguan flavor. Has that leathery, charred oak flavor, but definitely smooth. Just like all the other AB cigars I've smoked.  All different but different flavors and profiles.  Is it good the first inch? Hell yeah. 


Did I mention it's cold out?  Yeah, about 28 now.  That's why I chose this short smoke.  By the fire it's not too bad.  And that's why you prepare your fire before. A propane torch a few minutes on your small pieces of wood, super hot in just a few minutes. 


Pretty windy though. Bad smoking weather. But it's burning good. A little touch up because of the wind. But it's burning good. 




It's really spicy all of a sudden. It's pretty strong and flavorful now.  I haven't had to get a drink to cleanse my pallet. The aftertaste is excellent.  Does it go with the tequila I'm drinking. Hell yeah it does. Not drinking that much tonight. Just some shots of Don Julio Blanco chased with a bottle of Cheerwine. Damn tasty.




I'd say it's burning perfect now. Kind of sweet flavor. The spiciness has changed a little bit to toasted fruit. It definitely compliments a Blanco tequila. 


Last inch is just all of these good flavors. It's not as strong in profile as before but full of flavor. 


Finish is great. I would definitely smoke again. Might try a big one to see if as interesting in complexity. Definitely worth $4.  Would imagine a Toro smoking as good and easily get $6. Alec Bradley knows what they are doing. They are some of best cigars out there.

Oliva Serie V Diadema cigar review   12/17/2022 I've had this one sitting in my humidor for over a year just waiting for me to smoke it.    This one is 7 inches long and has a beautiful Habana sun grown wrapper.    The cigar smells great.    I got this one from a sampler, which I have 2 of, so I can try it again.    It seems the Diadema has a 7 inch and a 6 inch.    This is the larger one.  I guess I should mention it is cold here in Georgia tonight. About 34 now.    I chopped a bunch of wood this afternoon just to make sure my fire was super hot.    No wind though, so won't be that bad.   I like a figuardo as it is easy to light.    Right away I'm enjoying some caramel and woodsy flavors.    As my jaw chatters and my arms shake.    Damn it's cold.    Thank God for my torch to get the fire roaring.  With the torch, only need 5 minutes and I'm feeling som...

Gurkha Castle Hall Nicaraguan Reserva Especial Toro cigar review  5/27/2023 I got these cheap.    But they've been aging for at least 6 months in my humidor.    Never been a fan of Gurkha, but I am very open minding and will smoke every cigar I have.  Starts off medium with spice, cedar, and earth.    Yep, just like most Nicaraguan smokes.    Not too bad.   Most Gurkhas taste alright the first third and turn to really terrible, but, like I said, I will honestly review any cigar.    If this one stays consistent then it is a decent smoke.   I taste a slight caramel taste, but it is burning kind of hot.    It is really windy tonight.    60 degrees out.    Windy and cool enough to start a small fire.    What's does have to do with how this is smoking?
