Kristoff Ligero Maduro Robusto cigar review

 12/8/23

I just recently smoked the regular Maduro version from Kristoff and I thought it was really good but I was wanting a little more strength.  I hope this one is same but having a little more.

A dark and oily Brazilian wrapper looks good and this thing smells even better.

Burns pretty mild and super creamy first inch. About as smooth as it gets.  Only taste creamy toasted marshmallow and light chocolate.  Still very mild at first.

I was drinking some Margaritas and one shot of Don Julio silver.  Switched to a charred wood tasting Mezcal shot with some Coca-Cola.  Now drinking a wheat beer, Blue Moon.  What does that have to do with cigar? I don't know.  All I know is I got a lot of flavors going on and I like it

This cigar is burning perfect.  No runs, burning slow, and full of smoke.  Should squeeze an hour of it.

It's building a little more flavors.  Same flavors.

Not quite half in and this is the mildest cigar with Ligero in the name.  So far, I remember the regular Maduro being about the same in strength.

I'm getting a strong charred cedar flavor now.  It's on top of the toasted marshmallow smores taste.  Cigar is full of great flavors.  It is super smooth.

2/3 through and it is about the same.  Really good and tastes really good.  Was wanting a little more, but can't complain.  It's stronger and a little more drier taste but still really smooth.  I think it is the spicy flavors kicking in now.  Not as smooth and creamy but now like a Honduran smoke now.  It has that sweet spiciness aftertaste now.

Finishing my Belgian beer now and I think it pairs well.  Can't complain.

Lots of flavors on my palate.

Got to say it was perfectly rolled and still smooth to the last inch.

Last inch is full of strong smoke and a little harsh but strengthens to a strong smoke that will satisfy smokers like me wanting to finish with a buzz.  It's not hot at all.  Just strong tobacco tastes.  To me a great strong finish.  I'll look to smoke again.

Overall: 92

Flavor 92, complexity 90, burn 93, experience 91, value 91.
