Villager Cuellar Black Forest Churchill cigar review

Villager Cuellar Black Forest Churchill cigar review

11/25/2024

I've had some pretty good Villager branded smokes in the past.  They have always been smooth, flavourful, and easy smoking.  Not great but a pretty good cigar.

This one says it has a San Andres wrapper and the rest I take is all Dominican.  The wrapper looks pretty good. It kind of has a stinky flavor.  I usually don't comment on the smell but I love the smell of a really good cigar before I lite it up.  This one I can't say it smells good but I don't comment as I've learned it doesn't have much correlation to the overall taste.

It tastes pretty good and smooth first inch.  Not a lot going on but it is cool and smooth.  Not a lot of smoke, have to really draw it hard to get some taste.  But it is burning slow.

It's definitely a good Dominican flavor.  Really barely medium profile and flavor.  Not too complex. Just a good cedar and oak taste.

I am drinking Astral Blanco tequila.  I'd say it goes good but both the tequila and the cigar are rather light tasting.

I can't complain though it is drawing good and burning slow.  I should easily get an hour out of this one.  It has been aging for like at least a few years.  I think I got in one of those brown bag 10 pack surprise bags.  I've discovered some of my favorites in these grab bags.

Damn. I went inside to take a shot and it went out. It lights up easy and still smoking like before.  Not that interesting or developing too much.

Can see the big Dipper from my seat by the small fire. Can see it most clear nights the last week or so. Kind like the cigar.  It's pretty cool but nothing special.  Glad I can see it but nothing to write about.

I am enjoying it.  I'd smoke a bunch of these.  It is stronger now at the last inch or so.  It's smoked an hour so far so well worth the $5 I think these go for.  If I saw them for like $35 a 10 pack I'd buy.  If you like old school Dominicans.  All around good smoke with lots of smooth flavors.

Last inch is getting hot but strong good flavors of oak and sweetness.  Wish this was half way through.  Probably too strong now but a good highlight to end it.

I'm going to look for a deal on these.
