Brick House Maduro Robusto cigar review
Brick House Maduro Robusto cigar review
2/2/26
Only smoked a few JC Newman smokes. Not bad from my memory but none have I wanted to go out and buy again. Let's see with this one. It is a little pricey at like $8 a smoke when you buy a box. Looks good, smells good, pretty thick, and seems densely packed.
Brazilian Arapiraca Maduro wrapper with a blend of Nicaraguan long-fillers and a Nicaraguan binder. What is Arapiraca? I have no idea. Let me look. Oh, its an area in Brazil. Oh, ok.
Will it go with the tequila I'm drinking? Let's see.
These are supposed to be strong. Starts off pretty strong. Right away it has some subtle sweet caramel taste and can taste it on the aftertaste.
Burning good. I do slightly touch it up to keep it burning square. Its burning a 30 degree angle. Let me touch it some more.
Yeah I got it burning damn good now. Seems rolled well.
It's a robusto so it's not going to burn too long. But it's earning it's worth. Lots of smoke and full of flavor.
Smoking too good now. Hard not to smoke it quick. Picking of some black pepper but still has the slight sweetness. Aftertaste is a little stronger with more of that earthy Nicaraguan flavor.
I think it's smoothed out. More of a spicy, earthy smoke but easy smoking.
Had to let it go out. Had to go take the trash cans to the curb. What you don't think I have to stop and do chores? Can't just sit and drink and smoke, listening to the music by the fire all night. But the fire is going good. It's like 30s here but good smoking weather. It does easily start back up where I left it with a little help from my lighter, like I never put it down.
It's full of flavor now. Pretty damn good and strong. I think I got an hour out of it, including the 5 minute break.
Is it worth $8? Maybe. I guess that's the going rate for a strong yet smooth one. I like it. I'll look for more, no doubt.
