La Gloria Cubano Classic Maduro Robusto cigar review
La Gloria Cubano Classic Maduro Robusto cigar review

To me, La Gloria Cubano has been one the most consistently respected and best value of top smokes for over 25 years. That sounds like a paid ad, but they deserve the praise. They don't have any gimmicky adds or specials. They don't have the actual cuban heritage in their family history. I think they started out in Miami in the 70's and have always been one of the best premiums at a reasonable price. And I've never had a bad one. Actually every one I've had has been really good. One a few brands can accomplish that and I'm going back 25 years. I put this brand up there with Padron.
This one is similar to the original classic with Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers, Nicaraguan binder, but with a dark Connecticut broadleaf wrapper.
Starts off strong. It's supposed to be medium but seems a little stronger the first inch. And it's super smooth. That's why I'm a big fan. Never had a bad one, never even had a bad one inch.
It's Wednesday night and I am looking to smoke a pretty strong one, but not an hour and half smoke. This Robusto should do half that. I can't drink any more Sazerac to stay up that late.
It's burning good. Super easy smoking and is full of flavor. The Maduro flavor is a subtle touch on the earthy raw tobacco taste. Just a tad sweet touch at the end. Or maybe that's the bourbon. This one is a bourbon buddy for sure.
I'm not going to lie, this is one of the best I've smoked in a while. I think I bought these 9 months ago. They are smoking too easy but I'm getting a good 30 mins so far and have a few inches left. Really like how it's so easy to smoke.
It may have lightened up but leaves a pretty strong taste of charred wood and almost like a liquorice flavor. I wouldn't describe as sweet or cedary, but like a black tea.
It's definitely more Nicaraguan flavor than Dominican.
It's smoking so easy. Clouds and clouds of easy smoking smoke. It's not overpowering, but just right.
It's getting spicy now. Very complex in flavors. Changing ever 15 minutes. That's why I like these. Just full of many different flavors and always super smooth.
It's finishing strong. It doesn't disappoint. Now it's lost it's spiciness and is mainly dark tea and charred wood taste. Damn good.
Will I buy again? Hell yes. La Gloria Cubano might be my new favorite brand. The last 3 or so smokes from this brand have been excellent. And the price is very reasonable. If you don't stock up on these, basically you might be wasting your money._
