La Gloria Cubano Society Toro cigar review

La Gloria Cubano Society Toro cigar review

7/10/2026

La Gloria Cubano is one of my longtime favorite brands. I can confidently say I've never had a bad one. This one is a smaller batch from their regular blends. Supposedly they surveyed smokers to make the ideal smoke and this is it. It turned into a Maduro Honduran wrapped with an Equadorian Sumatra binder and Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers.

Sold in boxes of 10. Priced around $110 a box. Yes, I got a deal on a box and have been enjoying these a lot.

Starts off a little mild and light draw. After a few minutes it brings in some spiciness. It burns a little weird at the foot. But it them evens itself out after a few minutes. Hasn't affected the smoking though. It's starting to smoke good now. Has a good sweet taste with a lingering spicy and earthy profile.

Still burning a little weird, as in it has a huge foot. But it's building up more flavors. Still mostly medium profile.

I hope it builds up. It's Friday night and I've switched from Chinese liquor to Miller High Life. I can't say this cigar goes with the champagne of beers, but I'm waiting for it overpower this beer.

I think I'm 20 minutes into it and realize I have a good 2/3 left. It should last enough for a Friday night. If you pay over $10 for a Toro, it should fully satisfy you for at least an hour. This one does. It's starting to be more and more smoother and much more clouds of smoke. That's what I love about this brand. They are always smooth, seems gets smoother as it gets stronger.

It's seems it lost its spiciness and is now more woodsy and toasted graham cracker with a tiny sweetness. I don't know. It ain't a cake so it's hard to describe.

All I know it is a great smoke. It's not strong, but it's full of good flavors. It's easy smoking and lots of smoke.

I don't know if it goes that good with the high life but it's good enough for a good Friday night.

The spiciness is back in full power now. This leaves your whole mouth full of spicy sweetness. I find it hard to believe the survey said max spiciness but that's what I'm tasting. It's good though.

It's actually pretty strong. Definitely different than the classic Maduro. The flavors are totally different. Has that same easy smoking profile though. But now is smoking really slow and full of smooth clouds of smoke.

It does lose the ash quick. Maybe a tad dry in my humidor.

It's a great late night smoke that will go over an hour. It is very interesting and full of many flavors. Many times it goes in and out of spiciness. I'm glad I bought this 10 pack. Always look forward to smoking these. It's a great special occasion cigar where you want to really enjoy it. This is my camping cigar. Keeps you interested.

I recommend it. Overall, it's a very satisfying smoke. I'm smoking past the nub.
