Juan Lopez Campanas cigar review

Here's another one that I've never heard of. I read that the Juan Lopez brand is a successful cuban brand. This is the Dominican made brand under the same name. If I remember correctly this is one of the smokes from an Atlantic cigar brown bag samplers. Research says it is made by Hostos Fernandez at Tabacalera La Isla. Ecuadorian Corojo wrapper, with an Ecuadorian Habano binder and Dominican fillers of Corojo, Piloto Cubano, and HVA (Habano Vuelta Abajo).
Starts off pretty flavorful. Has a sweet and fruity corojo taste right away with a bit of red spice. Almost like most Mexican candy. To me, all Mexican candy has that same sweet tamarind and spicy chili flavor. Most Americans don't like it. I like it but I don't like the added chili. Leave it sweet. It's candy. This smoke definitely has that same Mexican candy flavor the first inch.
It is mostly medium, maybe a little stronger. Leaves a good flavor in your mouth. Really smooth and creamy now. It's transitioned from it corojo flavor to more woodsy and earthy flavors but still retains just slight sweetness. So far it has been great.
It's been burning about perfect. Lots of transitions. It now really spicy and a lot stronger flavor, more like dried fruit and charred wood. Really good. It's a Monday night and wasn't expecting such a great complex cigar tonight. It's high 50s and no wind. Great smoking weather.
It was really strong before and now is mellowed out at the last third. Still lots of flavor. Leaves a string wood and spicy fruity taste. This smoke is just so full of so many flavors. Would definitely like to try another.
I think these are like $10 a piece. Probably is worth it. I'm going to shop around and will buy again. Is it worth $10? Maybe. If you are wanting a very interesting, complex smoke then I think you can't go wrong with this one.
It's smoking to the nub, which, to me, it has to do to get another $10 from me and it doesn't disappoint. I got over an hour of full flavor. It's a great late night smoke. Save these for special occasions.
