Alec Bradley Tempus Natural Robusto cigar review

 12/11/2023

Yeah this is one of the better Alec Bradley smokes.  I have like just about every one of his.  This one is a little smaller than my preference, but it is cold out tonight and I plan to keep it quick when it's 36 F out.

Everybody knows this brand and it is Honduran with said wrapper and Honduran Indonesian  onder with Honduran Nicaraguan fillers.  These ain't cheap but priced at the mid high tier range of like $200 a box of 20.

First puffs had a pretty robust earthy and woodsy flavors that was both smooth and flavorful.  It then went a little milder for a few minutes.  Now it is kicking back in after about an inch ash and 10 to 15 minutes.

It has picked up a little caramel sweetness that sits nicely on top of a layer of aged oak.  So far I'd call this medium from beginning until now.

Nice smooth smoke but not clouds of smoke like some of my favorites.  I guess it's slightly creamy but for $200 I think it pull a few more clouds of smoke.  It tastes delicious, don't get me wrong, but it could deliver a little more .  Still damn good though.  It is a small cigar.  Maybe I need to pay 50 bucks more for a bigger smoke.

It's burning at a nice slow rate now, while build strength.  I think it heard my complaints and is burning like a premium full of flavorful smoke.  I now taste many spices and still a nice woodsy taste. Just slightly sweetness that makes it smooth but strong.

Yeah can't go wrong with this one.  It has no bad attributes.  It's a small flavor bomb now.  Lots of refinement engineered into this new.

Most complex smoke I've smoked in a few months.  Not drastic changes but many changes in it's main flavors.

It's just good flavors throughout.

Down to the last inch and a half.  Really smooth and flavorful.  I think it's still medium but has gained in strength.  I think it actually mellowed out a bit at the end.

It's finishing nicely.  Lots of wood and sweet dried fruit taste.  Lingers nicely.  Most cigars would be hot and harsh, but this one keeps its overall profile but builds more wood, roasted nuts and fruit.  It's a winner that is worth paying a little more for.

Overall: 93

Flavor 93, complexity 94, burn 90, experience 93, value 91.
