Montecristo White Series Toro cigar review

Montecristo White Series Toro cigar review

I've been hoarding this one for a long time, maybe 5 years. The White Series has always been one of the best and smoothest medium smoke you can get. Super consistent.

It seems Connecticut shade wrapped smokes just aren't as popular as they once were. I think it's because there are so many great, mostly Nicaraguan, smokes that are easier and cheaper to make. But there's a reason why these used to be and continue to be popular, while still demanding a top tier price.

Let's light it up. Lights up easily and immediately it's tasting good. I like how it is a little spongy. I don't feel I will crack it. It definitely has some cedar flavor with easy drawing puffs of clouds if smoke. That's the difference between a pretty good cigar and a great one. If it can make clouds of smoke easily and still be smooth. So far this one's doing it.

This cigar is going great with my Chinese liquor. Most people have never had Chinese liquor. If you've never had it, the first sip will be like a knock in the face. It's about 130 proof. It's made for slowly sipping. Mainly just to coat your tongue to taste it before eating a huge steamed dumpling. And it's sweet with great flavors of candy and wine on the aftertaste.

This cigar is all around medium. Nice full draw has plenty of strong flavors of cedar, wood, and little spice. Actually it goes damn good with the liquor. Don't knock it until you try it.

Half way through and it's gotten better. I'd say it sweeter and spicier. Still so easy to draw. That's why these are so good. They are rolled perfect and are so easy to smoke. Very consistent.

Did I forget to write about something. Yep. It's smoking so good, there's a lot to say. All I can say is I'm enjoying it a lot and you should too. Just buy one. It's worth the big bucks every now and then. It's not the greatest ever but it does everything a great medium smoke can do.

Did I not mention I got about an hour into it? Got almost 2 inches left and it is as smooth as can be. Getting full flavored. If you like a complex smoke, this is it.

That's what makes this great, no overpowering flavors but staying full of different flavors. It's just a great Friday night smoke.

One of the best finishes. It's just a great smoke that I will pursue for some more. A crescendo of flavors.
